What is Capsule Care?
A new brand of on demand mobile hospital trailers designed for public and private institutions to activate nationwide as a tool to aid weaknesses within the healthcare system.
Designed for need, Capsule Care can be completed in as little as 16 weeks, compared to 12+ months for a new brick-and-mortar build!
Versatile Application
Capsule Care units can be configured as individual clinics or multiple-unit field hospitals. The system is innovatively designed to increase bed capacity during overflow, act as backup during power outages or renovations, or provide general care in low-income or isolated areas.
Rapid Deployment
As a road-ready mobile unit, Capsule Care can be deployed rapidly across the globe, moving from site to site as needed, for any unprecedented situation that requires timely response.
Full onsite setup including plumbing, HVAC, and power is one-to-three days depending on number on units and site preparations made in advance.
Efficient Design
Each unit is a 53' trailer with two sections that expand onsite for 980 sq. ft. of interior space with:
- 6 patient rooms
- 1 shared restroom
- 1 nurse's station
- 2 entry/exit points
- Touchdown station
Expert Collaboration
Capsule Care was created with the collaboration of Gensler, serving as product design consultant. Both Craftsmen and Gensler have a strong focus in design; Gensler’s expertise specifically in hospital architecture and Craftsmen’s expertise in mobile unit customization.
Each team applied their industry knowledge for a final product that meets the needs of healthcare workers, patients, and logistic managers.
