The TaylorMade Golf Company and Craftsmen Industries have a legacy of breaking traditions and exploring new frontiers. Together, we share a common commitment to being the best - a perfect match! Craftsmen took the lead in supporting TaylorMade's objective to literally rise above the golf industry's competitive manufacturers and PGA teams to showcase their custom-tailored clubs and accessories.
Together, we created the largest touring vehicle of its kind – a 42’ long, 22-ton multi-story trailer! Inspired by the Formula 1 premium-class auto racing circuit, Craftsmen designed and built, from the ground up, a double-decker, double-expandable unit. The passenger and driver sides slide out and the rooftop hydraulically lifts offering more than 1,000+ sq. ft. of interior space.
A modern workshop with custom cabinetry, dedicated gripping station, loft and lie machines, shaft cutters, and other golf club-building instruments is found in the first level. Among these tools, is a variety of advanced technology including a sound system, video game system, and four hi-definition televisions. The downstairs also features 12 player lockers, custom seating, built-in coffee machine, drawer-style refrigerators, and wall-mounted silicone-edge graphics.
The top tier opens to a lounge with custom bar, seating, and sliding windows that overlook the lower-level workspace. Here, TaylorMade-sponsored players can relax while their equipment is repaired or newly built. The entire rooftop is paneled with glass providing the players with a panoramic view of the green.
The unit was unveiled at the World Golf Championships Match Play in Austin where golf stars enjoyed a private party in the mobile workshop and lounge. The TaylorMade Tour Truck will officially debut at The Master Tournament in Augusta, GA. From there, it will follow the PGA Tour and travel an estimated 35,000 miles.
