CAD Operator/Estimator
We are seeking a CAD Operator that will work in a team environment to assist in the basic design and pricing of various project requirements ranging from display vehicles to static displays and assemblies. This position will be concentrating on kiosks and display elements. You must be able to provide manufacturing with production drawings and engineering documentation. You will be involved with costs and budgets related to your designs and will communicate with production, purchasing and component suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility will be the creation of concept designs, production drawings and pricing. Candidates must be able to perform necessary calculations and provide design support of components or assemblies to meet customer requirements, improve manufacturing ability, and meet Company standards. In this position you will exhibit technical expertise, good judgment, integrity, ingenuity and personal professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS: Associates of Applied Science Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or 2 years experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor. Related experience in custom manufacturing would be a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1 – 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent of education and experience. Prior experience in trailer industry very helpful

JOB DESCRIPTION: • Read job orders and plan work procedures
• Replace side panels and side posts; roof repair or replacement. Section repairs to top and bottom rails; replace nose rails, top rails and bottom rails
• Complete brake service including brake shoes, hardware, cam bushings, brake drums, cams, bearings, etc. Oil and grease seals; diagnose and repair ABS brake systems
• Complete suspension service including spring or air bag replacement, alignment, bushing replacement, ride height adjustment, etc.
• Repair or replace wood or aluminum flooring
• Repair and install roll-up doors; repair and install swing door assembly
• Install lining on refrigerated van trailers and bodies; remove and reinstall refrigeration unit
• Repair and install lift-gate; replace cross-member; repair and replace support leg
• Diagnose and repair light and wiring problems
• Apply and finish spray foam insulation
• Mount truck body
• Install gooseneck and/or receiver hitch assemblies
• Install and adjust electric brake controllers; repair electric brake systems
• Replace trailer axle
• Install e-track (surface mounted and/or recessed)
• Fabricate special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings

SKILLS REQUIRED: Basic welding skills (both steel and aluminum preferred)Ability to work on scaffolds and ladders Problem-solving skills

TOOLS OR EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Must have well-equipped mechanics toolbox

The product we build involves various skills including welding, carpentry, cabinet making, electrical, interior finishing, hydraulics, HVAC, machining and painting. While we have employees who specialize in these trades, most of our skilled personnel have multiple skills.

WILL TRAIN. SALARY: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour to start
